I just found this photo while rummaging around in my documents folder . I can't recall where I got it from , but I went in search of what crystals might be helpful for solar flares and found it online . Attachments:

I have saved a copy of that, Aquariann. I have only a few of those.... Curious what about each stone makes it appropriate as a balancer for solar flares.... Thanks for posting that.
Just saw email from spaceweather that there is an unexpected geomagnetic storm underway today -- my head did register this though I am nowhere near as uncomfortable as during the last one (which occurred during some other things and I kinda got a pile-on there!)

Thanks for the link! I did read a geomagnetic storm -- well, a solar wind anyway -- is due to make impact tomorrow or Monday. I'll go back and read this one in a bit, she looks interesting.

Okay, this is interesting:
A "fold in the heliospheric current sheet", eh? So this is not specifically a solar activity function, but rather a zone.... (so I gather anyway)
and maybe this explains my very low energy today, woo.

I could feel the unpleasant weirdness on Thursday, so I had a look at Starfire Tor's FB page : "The interacting energy, which sources from the Sun, creates an electric current that both forms and drives its behavior and direction. As the Sun rotates, the interacting energy twists into a spiral that extends into our solar system. It's a very big spiral of energy In this case, the HCS was aimed at Earth - and it has arrived. The result is geomagnetic storming, which is nearly worldwide, as can be seen in this NOAA k-index chart. I've also included a graphic, which depicts the shape of the HCS as it twists and expands." She also mentions a very big sunspot rotating in earth's direction .

Space Weather News for April 18, 2016 spaceweather.comwww.facebook.com/spaceweatherdotcomBIG SUNSPOT ERUPTS: Surprise! Quiet sunspot AR2529 isn't so quiet, after all. The heart-shaped active region erupted on April 18th (00:39 UT), producing a strong M6.7-class solar flare and shortwave radio blackouts around the Pacific. Visit spaceweather.com for more information.

www.suspicious0bservers.org/I go to this page daily for the solar and planetary updates. Its really very good. In today's update he talks about the M-6 flare and magnetic storm from it. It was a doozy. Check it out

"Surprise!" said the Starweather News.
Gee thanks (NOT!) says I -- after having my butt kicked all day by the class G3 geomagnetic storm.
But for those who got to see the aurora displays I'm sure it was wonderful.

Denise's blog this morning has this Wikipedia quote that explains geomagnetic storms in a way that helped me understand what happens in my body:
‘A geomagnetic storm is a temporary disturbance of the Earth‘s magnetosphere caused by a solar wind shock wave and/or cloud of magnetic field that interacts with the Earth’s magnetic field. The increase in the solar wind pressure initially compresses the magnetosphere. The solar wind’s magnetic field interacts with the Earth’s magnetic field and transfers an increased energy into the magnetosphere. Both interactions cause an increase in plasma movement through the magnetosphere (driven by increased electric fields inside the magnetosphere) and an increase in electric current in the magnetosphere and ionosphere.’
So it's like a balloon, there is more inside it and the pressure on the outside is increased. Damn, it sure *feels* that way! (Much better yesterday and today, managed to equalize that pressure I guess!)

Confirmation from the SpaceWeather site of what many of us were already suspecting from our own symptoms :
"On June 28th there were no sunspots, no solar flares, and no CMEs. Even without those forms of solar activity, the aurora australis appeared in force over the frozen continent. What caused the display? We don't know. Sometimes space weather just happens."

A newer explanation from the same page : "There were no sunspots, no solar flares, and no CMEs on June 30th, yet skies turned green anyway. Here's what happened: Earth passed through a region of space filled with negative-polarity magnetic fields (known to researchers as "negative B sub z"). Such fields can open a crack in Earth's magnetosphere. Solar wind pours in and sparks auroras--no sunspots required."
